Landon celebrated his 7-month birthday on November 16 by busting out a couple teeth! We can’t see them yet, but can definitely feel one on the bottom and one on the top making their way through his gums. He’s been drooling for months, which the pediatrician initially said was more due to his salivary glands maturing than possible teething, and chewing on everything for months, which is how babies explore their world. Because of those natural behaviors anyway, and his general lack of grumpiness, I didn’t really expect to feel teeth recently and was in for quite the surprise!

He also desperately wants to crawl. He’s figured out how to scoot himself a bit and can pivot really well, but still has a ways to go before he masters crawling. (I hope he doesn’t figure it out until after Christmas tree season!) He pushes up beautifully with his arms and sometimes can get his knees under him, but when he does that he can’t stay up in his front — and in order to crawl babies first must be able to balance on all fours and comfortably rock back and forth before they can actually take off.

His eating progression continues. So far he’s had avocado, carrot, pea, green bean and sweet potato and has been fond of all but the avocado, though his interest remains low.
